A concert for all ages that includes a medley of Duke Ellington songs and works by Copland, Whitacre, Hagenberg, Jeffrey Ames, Curtis Mayfield, a medley of Cowboy songs. Following the concert, free ice cream will be provided for all audience members and singers. Tickets available soon.

Our annual December holiday set, Lead with Love, is always a highlight for our audiences and will feature selections that focus on themes of the holiday season that include hope, promise, justice, love, peace, compassion, and unity. Included are works by Willan, Memley, Hailstork, Runestad, Esenvalds, and others, including C. H. Johnson’s All of Us from Considering Matthew Shepard. Tickets available soon.

The Chorale will perform works by these three famous classical German composers featuring Beethoven’s Symphony #9, Mvt 4: Ode to Joy; Bach’s Motet #1: Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied, and Jesus bleibet meine Freude; and Brahms’ Nänie and the fourth movement of his German Requiem, How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place. We close our season commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence. Our concert title addresses today’s reality of this historical vision. Works include American composers and various genres including folk songs, Broadway show music, jazz, spirituals, hymns, and patriotic songs. Tickets available soon.

Sacred Serenity & Bombastic Brilliance

The Chorale, accompanied by full orchestra, will perform two contrasting 20th century works: Maurice Duruflé’s lush and serene setting of the Requiem and William Walton’s exceedingly thrilling Belshazzar’s Feast.
